What are referrals?

Referrals are our way of rewarding those who help promote Payback. After buying a copy of the game from us, each time you get someone else to buy a copy we'll refund £5/€7.50 of your original order. If you get five people to buy the game then you'll get it totally free of charge! (We obviously can't refund any more after that - although we'll still appreciate any more referrals you send our way.)

How do they work?

Making referrals takes just a few steps:

1. Buy. Order the game direct from us using a credit or debit card.
   We cannot pay referrals on orders placed by cheque, or orders placed with other companies.

2. Record. Note down the "WorldPay Transaction ID" you are assigned when you place your order.
   This is shown on the confirmation page and also in the confirmation email. If you've lost your Transaction ID then send us as much information about your original order as you can remember and we'll do our best to track it down for you.

3. Refer. When you convince someone to buy the game then make sure they use the special page for referrals (http://www.apex-designs.net/shop/payback_gba_credit_card_referral.html) to place their order with us. You should also tell them your Transaction ID and they should put it in the appropriate box labelled "enter referral ID here".
   When they place their order, they will get their own Transaction ID so they can refer other people in the future if they like. However, make sure they include your Transaction ID in the "enter referral ID" box otherwise we won't be able to process the referral.

I bought my copy of Payback before you introduced referrals - can I still refer people?

Yes (as long as you bought it using a credit or debit card). You just need to track down your Transaction ID (it was on the confirmation page and was also in the confirmation email). If you can't find it then send us as much information about your original order as you can remember and we'll do our best to track it down for you.

If you want to refer someone, you just need to tell them your Transaction ID and make sure they put it in the "enter referral ID" box when they order the game from our special page for referrals (http://www.apex-designs.net/shop/payback_gba_credit_card_referral.html).

Are there any restrictions?

• Referrals can currently only be used on the GBA version of Payback.
• Both you and the people you refer have to buy the game direct from us. For technical reasons, you must also buy the game using a credit or debit card - not by cheque.
• We reserve the right not to pay referrals if we believe they are fraudulent or were promoted in a way that reflects badly on Apex Designs - e.g. via spam or inappropriate forum posts.
• If a person buys the game and then asks for a refund that does not count as a referral.
• You can't claim a referral on an order you placed yourself.
• It may take up to 14 days for referrals to be paid.
